Fauna of the Luminant Age

Fauna of the Luminant Age is a Weird Fantasy Bestiary for Pathfinder 2nd Edition, showcasing five strange and spectacular beasts from the ruin-strewn world of Iverin. Written by a pair of respected industry veterans and inspired by media such as The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Fauna of the Luminant Age aims to shake up your usual encounters by taking a turn to the weird and wild.

Inside you will find:

• The Ashpelts and Rimepelts, striped monkey-like beasts that'll steal a fish and their bigger, baboon-like cousins—both smart enough to learn magic
• The Celray, a placid, domesticated flying manta ray that grows as large as an airplane and flies by way of symbiotic skymoss.
• The Flickrat, for when your regular, non-teleporting rodents aren't irritating enough. Do watch out for the flickerflu.
  
• The Hend, man's best friend—if man's best friend possessed a pneumatic spike on its tongue, flesh-dissolving enzymes, and sounded something like a kazoo. Still very good boys.
• The semi-visible Masqued Strix, feared throughout Iverin for its eerie grace and vicious malice.
• Two Familiars, the ashpelt and flickrat.
• Three Animal Companions, the celray cub, hend, and rimepelt.

"The thing was like a blighted mossy hill that just happened to be floating around in the air. Biggest salt-eaten beast I ever saw, the Braidmoot types had put up a couple of low buildings or huts on its back and I’m not sure the thing even noticed. Angels alone know how they got it to go where they wanted. One thing for sure, I couldn’t imagine fighting one with anything less than a couple of cannons, I’m not sure it’d even notice a sword."

Fauna of the Luminant Age is produced by Mikhail Rekun, Andrew Mullen, and Isabelle Thorne, a trio of well-regarded Pathfinder veterans who have, between them, written a good sixty-plus monsters for Pathfinder, including the moon hag, the ashullian, and a whole lot of leshys. Art is provided by Sinlaire, who has previously worked on the comics Only Human and Knight of Rakshasa and the game INheritage: Boundary of Existence, and by Ashton Sperry, of Pathfinder Paper Minis fame. Last but not least, Natalie Ash of Ember + Ash provides layout editing.
